Faith

A man. Back to the world, offering incense to a sacred altar. The smoke gently rose, as if carrying his prayers and hopes to the sky. He seemed lost in deep devotion, every movement full of meaning.

I recently listened to a podcast about faith in today’s world.

“Faith,” he (the speaker) said, “is believing in something you can’t see or touch. It’s hope when things look bad.” He continued, “In our modern society, many question faith. We want proof for everything. But faith goes beyond that. It connects what we know with what we don’t.”

Looking back at this photo I took in a temple in Kuala Lumpur, the man seemed to embody this idea. In this busy, modern world, he found a moment of clarity and deep connection. Maybe he was seeking answers, or maybe just showing his gratitude.

The podcast mentioned that having faith is brave. “Believing in something or someone, even when it’s hard, reminds us that there are things bigger than us.”

Looking at the image, I realized faith isn’t just about higher powers. It’s also about believing in ourselves, in finding meaning and beauty even in tough times. And that, the podcast said, is what makes faith so powerful and needed today.
