When one falls in love, it is a concentrated mix of many different emotions that one feels. Love is a complex cocktail that has served as inspiration for artists from all over the world for years. It sometimes makes the most rational among us lose their minds, giving hope and courage to the most desperate.

We don’t choose who we fall in love with. The Beatles song “Have Just in Faith” showed that we first fall in love with a face. The movie “When Harry Met Sally” taught that it can take ten years to truly meet someone. I heard and saw romantic encounters before I experienced them. It was artists who taught me about them. It has been written, scripted, sung, played, and replayed. It has been studied by psychologists, conceptualized by philosophers, deconstructed by sociologists. But before being an artistic, mental, social, or psychological construct, a romantic encounter is a physical event. It’s the moment you see the person you’re in love with for the first time.
